Earthquake epicenters in Ohio and adjacent areas by M. C. Hansen, Version 2.0(2014). Scale 1:500,000 (1 inch equals about 8 miles).
Earthquakes of historical and scientific significance(greater than 2 magnitude) are included and updated through June 2014. Smaller events may not appear on the map since smaller events are not documented in other sources, or are documented in obscure sources. A thorough review of Ohio Historical Society archived newspapers is suggested to capture additional data. The updated map also shows Ohio Seismic Network station locations and expanded fault and structural feature informaiton.
The Survey's website also offers a low-resolution version and an 8.5 x 11 version for free download, along with an interactive earthquake epicenters map. Visit www.OhioGeology.com
